Cub Scout Pack 266 has registered scouts in grades K through 5, residing primarily in and around West University. Pack 266 is fortunate to have committed leadership at all levels, and through the combined efforts of its leaders and families, it provides a dynamic, family-friendly program consistent with the goals and philosophies of the Boy Scouts of America.
Dens meet 1-2 times per month, and the entire Pack meets monthly. In addition to the variety of activities within the individual dens, the Pack sponsors a wide range of annual events, including rock climbing, ice skating, tree planting, and much more.
Pack 266 was chartered to West University Methodist Church over 65 years ago. Our monthly Pack meetings are usually held in the church’s High Court, a second-floor basketball court accessible by the concrete stairway visible from the parking lot on the building’s west side. Den meetings are held at Den leaders’ homes or in the West University Scout House at 6108 Edloe St.
Boys entering grades K to 5 are eligible to join the Cub Scouts. Virtually all Scouts sign up at the beginning of the school year. The easiest way to join Pack 266 is to show up at the registration rally held the first week or two of September, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

When applying offline, two forms are required from every Scout every year: A BSA Youth Application and a BSA Health and Medical Form.
For new scouts, the BSA Youth Application is required in hardcopy format, turned in on paper in triplicate with an original signature. This form will be included in the registration packet given to parents at the Registration Rally.
For returning Scouts, the BSA Youth Application can be completed electronically. The form is an editable PDF. After completing and saving the file, it can be attached to an email and sent to the registrar at: email@example.com.
A BSA Health and Medical form is required for all Scouts (new and returning), turned in on paper with an original signature. You must also attach a scanned copy of your insurance card, front and back, to this form. Turn this form in to the registrar at the first pack meeting.
The $100 annual registration fee includes the handbook, neckerchief, Pinewood Derby kit, all awards earned during the year, and subscription to Boy’s Life magazine. The fee also covers many of the Pack and Den activities. Some activities, such as camping, will require an additional fee.
